Pair Assignment
Unit 5 Pair Assignment: Peer Coaching on Speech Delivery Techniques
Assignment Description:
For this pair assignment, you will engage in peer coaching sessions focused on speech delivery techniques. This will allow you to give and receive feedback in a constructive and supportive setting. As you practice your speech, your partner will provide you with constructive feedback. Then, you will switch roles. Your speech should take approximately five minutes. Next lesson (or the lesson after) you will be presenting your speech to the class so remember to put the advice into practice.
Scaffolding:
Here’s how to conduct your peer coaching session:
-
Preparation: Both of you should come prepared with a speech to practice.
-
Coaching Session: One partner delivers the speech while the other observes. After the speech, the observer provides constructive feedback focusing on aspects such as voice projection, body language, eye contact, timing, and content.
-
Role Switch: After the feedback session, switch roles and repeat the process.
-
Reflection: Reflect on the feedback you received and identify areas of improvement. Also reflect on your ability to provide feedback.
Self-Reporting and Peer Scoring Instructions:
